Stēopùfaq Se

Stēopùfaq Se (Stēopù /faq/ [version] [lock]) is a subtropical Town located in the Iēibonjām Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Stēopùfaq Se is derived from the Tauric language, as Stēopùfaq Se was founded by Qokhik Hughes, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Stēopùfaq Se has a yearly average temperature of 30°C (86°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 33°C (91°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 27°C (80°F). Stēopùfaq Se receives an average of 248 cm/y (97 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Stēopùfaq Se covers an area of nearly 5 km² (2 mi²), and an average elevation of 924 m (3031 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Stēopùfaq Se was founded durring the late 12th century in winter of the year 1099, by Qokhik Hughes. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Qokhik Hughes.

Stēopùfaq Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Stēopùfaq Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Stēopùfaq Se is buildings are arranged arround a network of crampt baked earthen streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Stēopùfaq Se weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. The town's budget focused millitary grade defenses have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

Even the most brief look arround Stēopùfaq Se has a good chance of putting a church or shrine into the center of your view. The town is most certainly a god fearing community. It’s also definitely a god loving community. THe streetcornors are occupied by preachers, with the occasional intersection playing host to an actually friendly debate relating to the merits of various gods. Even the less popular as well as the less politically loved gods seem to have a space in Stēopùfaq Se, there’s even shrines to gods known to the region only through hearsay.

Stēopùfaq Se possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Stēopùfaq Se's grid is powered by a boiler and turbine based power plant.

Stēopùfaq Se has a first rate hospital which caters to anyone in need of long term medical care.

Stēopùfaq Se has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Stēopùfaq Se has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

A substantial minority of the locals are descended from foreigners alien to their local neighbors. They may have been religious exiles, economic migrants, indigenous locals surrounded by the existing polity, or a foreign settlement conquered within the relatively recent past. The locals may not be enthusiastic about being ruled by others not of their kind, and their neighbors may look askance at the way foreign customs or even laws may be maintained.

Stēopùfaq Se's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is famous for its stately symmetry, classical elements, and grand appearance. Columns and pillars, such as Corinthian columns, are often seen supporting open structures or porticos. Symmetry is an important feature of this style, with each half of a building mirroring the other. Domed ceilings and windows grace these buildings, with everything placed in a mathematical arrangement.

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is long in Stēopùfaq Se.

The Psyche Serpent near Stēopùfaq Se are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Stēopùfaq Se's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves bloodletting to channel Augury energies of tier 2 via divine sermons.

Economy
